FMCSA Receives 51 Applications for Exemptions from Diabetes Mellitus Rule

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has received 51 applications for exemptions from the rule prohibiting individuals with insulin-treated diabetes mellitus (ITDM) from operating commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in interstate commerce. The exemptions, if granted, would allow these individuals to operate CMVs in interstate commerce.
