US Copyright Office to Grant Exemptions for Circumventing Access Controls on Copyrighted Works

The US Copyright Office is conducting a rulemaking proceeding to consider temporary exemptions to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act's prohibition on circumventing technological measures controlling access to copyrighted works, and has announced a new procedure for renewing existing exemptions and considering new petitions.
