Air Plan Approval; Illinois; Volatile Organic Compounds Definition

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to approve a revision to the Illinois state implementation plan (SIP) for ozone, which updates the definition of volatile organic compounds (VOC) by removing recordkeeping and reporting requirements for t-butyl acetate. This revision is in response to an EPA rulemaking in 2016 and aims to provide clarity to the list of compounds excluded from the VOC definition.
