EPA Proposes Approval of Arkansas SIP Revisions for NAAQS

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to approve the State Implementation Plan (SIP) revisions submitted by the State of Arkansas to address the Clean Air Act (CAA) requirements for several National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS), including fine particulate matter, lead, ozone, nitrogen dioxide, and sulfur dioxide. The EPA requires each state to submit a SIP that provides for the implementation, maintenance, and enforcement of these standards within three years of new or revised NAAQS promulgation.
