NMFS Transfers 25.6 Metric Tons of Atlantic Bluefin Tuna Quota to General Category

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is shifting 25.6 metric tons of Atlantic bluefin tuna quota from the Harpoon category to the General category for the remainder of 2017, in response to overharvests in the September and October subquotas, to ensure General category fishermen can participate in the December fishery.
