NMFS Adjusts Swordfish Permit Retention Limits for 2018 Fishing Year

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is increasing the Swordfish General Commercial permit retention limit in the Northwest Atlantic, Gulf of Mexico, and U.S. Caribbean regions from two or three fish to six swordfish per vessel per trip for January through June of the 2018 fishing year, unless otherwise noticed.
