Cost-of-Living Increase and Other Determinations for 2018

The Social Security Administration is updating its Cost-of-Living Increase and Other Determinations for 2018, reflecting changes to the average wage index and related dollar amounts. As a result, Social Security benefits will see a 2.0% increase, effective December 2017, and the national average wage index for 2016 will be $48,642.15.
