NRC Releases Revised Guidance on Possession Licenses for Nuclear Activities

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has released revised guidance documents (Revision 1) for possession licenses related to manufacturing, distribution, well logging, tracer, and field flood study, as well as the production of radioactive material using an accelerator. The updated volumes (NUREG-1556, Volumes 12, 14, and 21) cover regulatory requirements, safety culture, security, and changes in policies and practices.
