Holtec International Seeks NRC Approval for HI-STORE Nuclear Storage Facility in New Mexico

Holtec International has submitted a license application to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission for a 40-year permit to construct and operate the HI-STORE Consolidated Interim Storage Facility in Lea County, New Mexico, where it plans to store up to 8,680 metric tons of commercial spent nuclear fuel.
