U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Requests Public Comments on Proposed Spent Nuclear Fuel Storage Facility

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is seeking public input on the scope of its Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for a proposed consolidated interim storage facility for spent nuclear fuel, to be built on the Waste Control Specialists LLC (WCS) site in Texas, following a request from Interim Storage Partners LLC (ISP) to resume its review process.
