FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company to Receive Partial Exemption from NRC for Fence Toppings at Perry Nuclear Power Plant

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has announced a finding of no significant impact (FONSI) for a proposed exemption to allow FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company to use vertical barbed wire fence toppings at the Perry Nuclear Power Plant, Unit No. 1, in Ohio, rather than the angled tops currently required.
