FCC Announces OMB Approval for Wireless Emergency Alert System Participation

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has announced that the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has approved the information collection associated with the FCC's Wireless Emergency Alert Second Report and Order and Second Order on Reconsideration, which defines participation in the Wireless Emergency Alert System and requires Commercial Mobile Service Providers to update their election status and provide enhanced disclosure to subscribers.
