FDA Exempts Soy Leghemoglobin from Color Additive Certification for Ground Beef Analogue Products

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is amending its regulations to allow the safe use of soy leghemoglobin in ground beef analogue products, following a petition from Impossible Foods, Inc. (Impossible Foods) that submitted a color additive petition (CAP) to the FDA.
