U.S. Department of the Interior Completes Inventory of Human Remains at Pu`uhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park

The National Park Service has completed an inventory of human remains at Pu`uhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park, in consultation with Native Hawaiian organizations, and has determined that the remains are culturally affiliated with present-day Native Hawaiian organizations, allowing lineal descendants or representatives to request transfer of control.
