Claims for Compensation; Death Gratuity Under the Federal Employees' Compensation Act

The Department of Labor published an interim final rule on August 18, 2009, to administer the death gratuity created by the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2008, which provides a payment to eligible survivors of federal employees and NAFI employees who die of injuries incurred in connection with military service in a contingency operation.
