FMCSA Denies Exemptions to 11 Individuals with Epilepsy or Seizure Disorders
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has denied exemptions to 11 individuals who sought to operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) despite having epilepsy or seizure disorders, as these conditions pose a risk to safety in interstate commerce. The decision upholds the FMCSRs' prohibition on individuals with such conditions operating CMVs.
