PBGC Proposes Expansion of Missing Participants Program to Include Multiemployer Plans and Other Types of Retirement Plans

The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) is seeking public comment on a proposal to expand its program for missing participants and beneficiaries in terminated retirement plans, which would cover multiemployer plans, certain defined benefit plans not covered by ERISA, and most defined contribution plans, in addition to single-employer defined benefit pension plans.
