NMFS Proposes Changes to Atlantic Highly Migratory Species Regulations for Bluefin Tuna Quota Transfers

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is proposing modifications to its regulations for the Atlantic highly migratory species (HMS) to provide more flexibility in distributing inseason Atlantic bluefin tuna (BFT) quota transfers to the Longline category, allowing for transfers to either all qualified share recipients or only to vessels with recent fishing activity.
