Continental Motors, Inc. Issues Airworthiness Directive for TSIO-550-K and TSIO-550-C Reciprocating Engines

Continental Motors, Inc. has issued an airworthiness directive to replace the oil cooler cross fitting assembly in certain TSIO-550-K and TSIO-550-C reciprocating engines due to a risk of uncommanded in-flight shutdowns, resulting in injuries and significant airplane damage.
