NMFS Transfers Tuna Quotas to General Category for Remainder of 2016 Fishing Year

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is adjusting Atlantic bluefin tuna quotas for the remainder of 2016, transferring 18 metric tons from the Harpoon category and 67 metric tons from the Reserve category to the General category, and reducing the daily retention limit for General category vessels from four to two large, medium, or giant BFT per vessel per day/trip.
