Airworthiness Directives; Pratt & Whitney Division Turbofan Engines

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) proposes a new airworthiness directive (AD) for Pratt & Whitney Division (PW) turbofan engines to address an uncontained failure of a high-pressure turbine (HPT) hub during takeoff. The proposed AD aims to prevent engine failure, uncontained hub release, and damage to the airplane by requiring inspections and removal from service of affected hubs.
