NMFS Notifies Fishery Management Council of Overfishing Determinations

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has issued a determination that Hood Canal coho salmon and Pribilof Islands blue king crab are subject to overfishing, while Quillayute Fall coho and Snohomish coho are approaching an overfished condition. NMFS notifies the appropriate fishery management council of these determinations, which are made on behalf of the Secretary of Commerce.
