NMFS Re-Opens Commercial Sector for Vermilion Snapper in South Atlantic
Summary
The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is temporarily reopening the commercial sector for vermilion snapper in the South Atlantic Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) for two days to allow the annual catch limit to be reached, while minimizing the risk of exceeding it, following recent commercial landing data that indicates the limit has not yet been reached for the July through December 2016 fishing season.
