Rolls-Royce plc Issues Airworthiness Directive for RB211-Trent 875-17 to RB211-Trent 895-17 Turbofan Engines

Rolls-Royce plc is issuing an airworthiness directive for certain RB211-Trent 875-17 to RB211-Trent 895-17 turbofan engines to correct unsafe conditions caused by flame erosion and axial cracking on the high-pressure compressor stage 1-4 rotor disks shaft. The directive requires machining and inspecting parts and replacing defective components.
