EPA to Set Deadlines for Addressing Ozone Transport Region Petition Under Clean Air Act

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has proposed a consent decree to address a lawsuit filed by six states, which alleges that the agency failed to take final action on a petition to expand the Ozone Transport Region, a region that includes upwind states, by December 9, 2013.
