EPA Approves Illinois State Plan Revision to Exclude 2,3,3,3-Tetrafluoropropene from VOC Definition

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is approving a revision to the Illinois State Implementation Plan (SIP) under the Clean Air Act (CAA), which updates the definition of volatile organic compounds (VOC) to exclude 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene, a compound previously exempted from the Federal VOC definition due to negligible ozone formation contribution.
