US Copyright Office Exempts Access Control Technologies from DMCA Prohibition

The US Copyright Office has adopted exemptions to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) that allow for the circumvention of technological measures controlling access to copyrighted works, specifically for access control technologies, following a public proceeding and the Register of Copyrights' recommendation.
