Federal Railroad Administration to Prepare Environmental Impact Statement for Washington Union Station Expansion Project

The Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) is issuing a notice to solicit public input on an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Washington Union Station Expansion Project, proposed by the Union Station Redevelopment Corporation (USRC) in coordination with Amtrak. The EIS will evaluate the potential environmental impacts of the project, which includes expanding and modernizing the station facilities while preserving the historic building.
