SEC Proposes Rule to Require Disclosure of Payments by Oil, Gas, and Mining Companies

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is proposing a new rule, Rule 13q-1, and an amendment to Form SD to require publicly traded companies that extract natural resources, such as oil, gas, and minerals, to disclose payments made to foreign governments and the US government for commercial development purposes.
