NMFS Adjusts Swordfish Permit Limits in North Atlantic, Gulf of Mexico, and U.S. Caribbean

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is increasing the Swordfish General Commercial permit retention limits in the Northwest Atlantic, Gulf of Mexico, and U.S. Caribbean regions from January to June 2016, allowing vessels to retain up to six Swordfish per trip, except in the Florida Swordfish Management Area where the limit remains at zero.
