Agency Information Collection Extension

EIA submitted an information collection request for extension as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995. The information collection requests a three-year extension with changes to the Electric Power Surveys (EPS), OMB Control Number; 1905-0129. EPS consists of ten surveys, including annual, monthly and one daily survey. These surveys collect data from entities involved in the production, transmission, delivery, and sale of electricity, and in maintaining the reliable operation of the power system. The data collected are the primary source of information on the nation's electric power system.

Agency Information Collection Proposed Extension

EIA invites public comment on the proposed extension of the collection of information for the EIA-860S: State Level Generator Air Permit Inventory Report, as required under the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995. The original collection was approved by the Office of Management and Budget on February 12, 2026, under the emergency approval provisions of the Paperwork Reduction Act.

Agency Information Collection Request for Comments

The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) has submitted the following information collection requirement to OMB for review and clearance under the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995. This is the second notice for public comment; the first was published in the Federal Register on December 18, 2025, and no comments were received. EIA is forwarding the proposed Data Security Requirements for Accessing Confidential Data information collection to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for clearance simultaneously with the publication of this second notice.

DOE submitted an information collection request for extension as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995. The information collection requests a three-year extension of its Form GC-859 Nuclear Fuel Data Survey, OMB Control Number 1901-0287. Form GC-859 collects data on spent nuclear fuel from all utilities that operate commercial nuclear reactors and from all others that possess irradiated fuel from commercial nuclear reactors.

Agency Information Collection Extension With Changes

EIA invites public comments on the proposed collection of information, the Annual Manufacturing Energy Consumption Survey, Form EIA-847, as required under the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995. This report will be part of EIA's comprehensive energy data program. The Annual Manufacturing Energy Consumption Survey collects information on energy consumption and expenditures from establishments in the manufacturing sector.

Agency Information Collection Request for Comments

EIA invites public comment and other Federal agencies to comment on a proposed information collection. EIA plans to collect information from the public to fulfill its data security requirements when providing access to confidential microdata for the purpose of evidence building. EIA's data security agreements and other paperwork along with the corresponding security protocols allow EIA to maintain careful controls on confidentiality and privacy, as required by law. The purpose of this notice is to allow for 60 days of public comment on the proposed data security information collection, prior to submission of the information collection request (ICR) to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).
