Duke Energy Florida Exempt from Onsite Property Damage Insurance Requirement

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission has granted Duke Energy Florida, Inc. an exemption from a requirement to maintain a certain level of insurance coverage at the Crystal River Unit 3 Nuclear Generating Station, citing reduced risks following the decommissioning of a nuclear reactor.
