Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. Receives U.S. NRC Exemption to Reduce Financial Protection at Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has granted Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. (ENO) an exemption to reduce the required level of primary financial protection at the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station (VY) from $375 million to $100 million, allowing the plant to withdraw from secondary financial protection by April 15, 2016.
