Conditions for Payment of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza Indemnity Claims

The US Department of Agriculture is updating its regulations to clarify the payment of indemnity claims for highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) to poultry and egg owners, as well as contractors involved in the production cycle. The new rules require owners and contractors to have a biosecurity plan in place to prevent the spread of HPAI to commercial premises.
