FMCSA Receives 52 Applications for Exemptions from Diabetes Mellitus Rule for Commercial Motor Vehicle Operators

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has received 52 applications for exemptions from the rule prohibiting individuals with insulin-treated diabetes mellitus (ITDM) from operating commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in interstate commerce. These exemptions, if granted, would allow individuals with ITDM to operate CMVs in interstate commerce.
