EPA Proposes Attainment of 1997 PM2.5 Standards for California-South Coast

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to determine that the South Coast air quality planning area in California has met the 1997 annual and 24-hour fine particle (PM 2.5) National Ambient Air Quality Standards, based on monitoring data from 2011-2013. If finalized, this determination would suspend state implementation plan revisions for the area as long as it continues to meet the standards.
