Duke Energy Florida Receives NRC Exemptions for Decommissioning Trust Fund Use

The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission has granted exemptions to Duke Energy Florida, allowing the company to use a decommissioning trust fund for irradiated fuel management and site restoration without prior NRC notification, as long as there is sufficient financial assurance in the trust.
