FCC Amends Rules to Implement STELA Reauthorization Act of 2014

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has amended its rules to implement provisions from the STELA Reauthorization Act of 2014, which affect multichannel video programming distributors (MVPDs) and television broadcast stations. The changes, set to take effect on January 1, 2020, include new rules on retransmission consent and the elimination of a prohibition on carrying 'significantly viewed' signals.
