FDA Expands Labeling Options for Medical Devices and Prescription Devices

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is issuing a final rule that allows for the use of graphical symbols in medical device and prescription device labeling, subject to certain requirements, and also permits the use of the 'Rx only' symbol in prescription device labeling.
