FDA Denies Exemption for Urinary Glucose Test System in Reagent Tablet Format

The FDA has denied a petition to exempt 'copper reduction tablet test' devices from premarket notification requirements, which are used to diagnose and treat carbohydrate metabolism disorders such as diabetes mellitus and hypoglycemia.
