Homeland Security Advisory Council Establishes Countering Violent Extremism Subcommittee

The Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, Jeh Johnson, has tasked the Homeland Security Advisory Council with establishing a subcommittee focused on Countering Violent Extremism, which will provide recommendations on best practices from various sectors, including technology, philanthropy, education, and mental health, to the Homeland Security Advisory Council.
