Coast Guard Temporarily Alters Drawbridge Operation Schedule for Rock Island, IL

The US Coast Guard has temporarily adjusted the operating schedule for the Rock Island Railroad and Highway Drawbridge across the Upper Mississippi River at Rock Island, Illinois, to facilitate necessary preventive maintenance and repairs, allowing the bridge to be closed to navigation for 21 days during the winter months.
