Coast Guard to Partner with Mercury Marine on Diesel Outboard Engine Development

The US Coast Guard plans to collaborate with Mercury Marine on a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement to assess the benefits and drawbacks of diesel outboard engine technology, with a proposed six-month testing period on a Coast Guard boat platform.
