USDA Proposes Changes to Shell Egg Grading and Certification Regulations

The USDA's Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) is proposing to update the regulations governing the voluntary grading and certification of shell eggs to clarify the definition of 'condition' and revise the prerequisite requirement for eligible eggs, effectively banning the use of Salmonella-adulterated eggs in the grading process.
