U.S. Department of Energy Preliminarily Determines 2015 IECC Improves Energy Efficiency in Buildings

The U.S. Department of Energy has found that adopting the 2015 International Energy Conservation Code would lead to significant energy savings in buildings, with estimated national source energy savings of 1.03 percent, site energy savings of 1.12 percent, and energy cost savings of 0.90 percent of residential building energy consumption.
