The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has issued a final rule to implement Amendment 103 to the Fishery Management Plan for Groundfish of the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands Management Area, closing the Pribilof Islands Habitat Conservation Zone to Pacific cod pot gear fishing to minimize bycatch and prevent overfishing of Pribilof Islands blue king crab.
