EPA Proposes Approval of Florida's State Implementation Plan Revision to Reduce Gasoline RVP Standard

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to approve the State of Florida's revised State Implementation Plan (SIP) to address the 1997 8-hour ozone national ambient air quality standards (NAAQS), which would reduce the gasoline Reid Vapor Pressure (RVP) standard in certain counties from 7.8 psi to 9.0 psi during the high-ozone season, and remove existing inspection and maintenance program references.
