U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Approves Transnuclear, Inc. NUHOMS HD Cask System Amendment No. 2

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has confirmed the effective date of October 14, 2014, for a direct final rule that amended the NRC's spent fuel storage regulations to include the Transnuclear, Inc. NUHOMS HD Cask System with Amendment No. 2 to Certificate of Compliance No. 1030, as part of the updated list of approved spent fuel storage casks.
