DoD, GSA, and NASA Propose Amendments to Federal Acquisition Regulation to Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions

The Department of Defense (DoD), General Services Administration (GSA), and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) are proposing to update the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) to align with the President's Climate Action Plan, aiming to procure alternatives to high global warming potential hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) when feasible, in order to meet the greenhouse gas emission reduction goals set by Executive Order 13693, issued on March 25, 2015.
