Improving 9-1-1 Reliability and Communications Network Continuity

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is revising the effective date of a rule requiring 911 communications providers to ensure reliable service, as well as notifying public safety answering points of service disruptions. The change aims to improve 9-1-1 reliability and continuity of communications networks, including broadband technologies.
